 Laboratories\, which experiments on over 9\,000 dogs company wide includin
 g approximately 150-180 beagles inside this facility\, advertises that the
 y buy their 'research' beagles from USDA licenced Class A breeding facilit
 ies.\n\nThese 'farms' like Ridglan and Marshall are actually factory farms
  where they breed 'research' beagles by the thousands.\n\nWhy do they spec
 ifically breed beagles for this purpose? Well\, because they are a particu
 larly\, trusting\, loving\, gentle and forgiving animal that rarely bites\
 , even when someone hurts them. Over and over.\n\nAfter spending months or
  even years in tiny wire cages inside the windowless sheds at these breedi
 ng facilities hidden away in the countryside in places like Blue Mounds\, 
 Wisconsin\, or North Rose\, N.Y.\, the dogs are purchased by contract rese
 arch organizations (CROs) like Charles River Laboratories.\n\nThey are the
 n driven in windowless climate controlled vehicles to vivisection laborato
 ries around the country like this one on Union Street in downtown Worceste
 r\, where their situation becomes even more dire.\n\nThis is where they un
 dergo horrific experiments\, paid for by companies like Merck and Pfizer\,
  over and over again until they are too sick to go on\, at which point the
 y are almost all killed and dissected.\n\nWhat the fuck kind of system is 
 that? A bad one I'd like to see change.\n\nPlease come join a peaceful edu
 cational awareness protest EVERY Saturday from noon-4 outside this CRL fac
 ility at 55 Union Street in Worcester.\n\nI'll be here every Saturday unti
 l CRL agrees to stop canine testing at this facility and make arrangements
  for every dog inside to receive immediate emergency veterinary care\, pai
 d for by CRL\, and work with verified rescues to adopt out all dogs or cat
