DESCRIPTION:Save the date! We're rescheduling the event initially planned o
 n 8/29 to 9/19\n\nOur friends @bigcrownprotein will be having a vegan pop 
 up nacho bar at our place to help raise funds for our chicken and duck res
 idents\, as well as the emergency rooster rescues we pulled from The Anima
 l Foundation's kill list last month.\n\nWe have an upcoming vet appointmen
 t for Littlefoot (2nd slide taking her weekly foot bath to treat her damag
 ed foot pads)\, one of our hen slaughterhouse survivors for her reproducti
 ve health- we expect the bill for her implant or "chicken birth control" t
 o be over $300. This is lifesaving as it allows hens' bodies a break\n\nAd
 ditionally\, Littlefoot has 14 friends (plus the 8 foster friends) who've 
 been rescued from slaughter or abandonment we're guardians of who also hav
 e:\n\nVet bills\, need consistent medical supplies like bandages\, epsom s
 alt and drawing salve for issues like bumble foot treatment (currently for
  Littlefoot and our eldest hen\, Z)\, food supplements like sea kelp and b
 rewer's yeast added to their meals\, their food itself\, plus fresh fruits
  & veggies that are added to their breakfasts & dinner.\n\nWe welcome visi
 tors to say hi to our rescue chicken and duck family members at 6 pm.\n\nI
 f you plan to visit our rescue family\, we ask you not wear shoes that you
 've worn in areas with wild birds. We will provide booties to place over s
 hoes as well\, because biosecurity and safety for the birds is a priority.
