DESCRIPTION:Join us for our November community luncheon!\n\nThe Plant Inspi
red project and Leura Uniting Church organise monthly community lunches wi
th the aim of bringing together members of local groups\, organisations\,
and the wider (local) public for a relaxed and welcoming meal.\n\nTheme of
the month: Edible Garden Trail (speaker Elizabeth French)\n\nThese lunche
s are a chance to connect\, socialise\, and get to know others who are wor
king on community projects across different areas. Often\, we are all busy
in our own corners—this is a way to share ideas\, learn from each other
\, and build stronger local connections.\n\nThe food is plant-based and de
licious\, supporting our shared values around planetary sustainability. Li
ve music & produce share at each event.\n\nOur community lunches are avail
able for a suggested donation of $20+\, and part of the proceeds each mont
h will go to one of the participating community groups. Since launching th
e project in October 2025\, we've raised $5\,508 to support initiatives in
service to the community.\n\nEach lunch also acts as a ‘climate café
’—a safe space for anyone experiencing climate anxiety or grief to tal
k with others who understand and take those feelings seriously.\n\nThe lun
ches are held on the Second Sunday of each month\, 12noon – 2pm\, at Jun
 ction 142\, 142 Katoomba St.\, Katoomba.\n\nInquiries: 0434 691 496 (Teya)
