DESCRIPTION:Join us on the streets of Leiden and help start positive conver
 sations about veganism. Whether you have done outreach before or are compl
 etely new to it\, you are very welcome to take part.\n\nWe talk to non-veg
 ans about the reasons for going vegan using an approach designed to reduce
  defensiveness and keep conversations open\, positive\, and energizing. Th
 e goal is to help people reflect on their choices and feel motivated to ma
 ke meaningful changes for animals.\n\nWe believe this approach is not only
  more effective and better aligned with modern psychological research\, bu
 t also more sustainable for you as an activist. Outreach should leave you 
 feeling energized rather than drained.\n\nROLES\n\nDuring the action\, we 
 use televisions to raise awareness of how we treat animals. There are two 
 roles:\n\n1. Holding a television\nYou hold a television while wearing a b
 lindfold. The blindfold symbolizes how people look away from what happens 
 in animal agriculture.\n\n2. Talking to people\nYou start conversations wi
 th people who stop to watch the screens and show interest.\n\nTHE SOCIAL E
 XPERIMENT\n\nVegan Future does not prescribe exactly how you should do str
 eet outreach. However\, we do have a method that we continuously refine: t
 he Social Experiment.\n\nThe conversation follows three basic phases:\n\n1
 . Establish common ground around shared moral values\n2. Show what really 
 happens to animals in animal agriculture\n3. Encourage a concrete and achi

 ript. You will pick it up quickly through practice\, and you can shadow an
  experienced outreacher before having conversations on your own.\n\nMATERI
 ALS\n\nWe bring everything you need and provide hands-on training during t
 he event. \n\nDRESS CODE\n\nSince you will be advocating for animals\, try
  to look clean\, presentable\, and approachable\, like someone people can 
 easily relate to.\n\nIMPORTANT: Please do not wear animal products\, even 
 if they are second-hand or something you bought before becoming vegan. Som
 e non-vegans may focus on this instead of the conversation itself\, using 
 an appeal to hypocrisy\, so it is best to avoid giving them that distracti
