DESCRIPTION:PETA and Pro Animal Future are working to ensure that voters sa
y YES on Initiative 86\, which would end the sale of cruelly produced foie
gras in Washington\, DC. If passed\, this landmark measure would represen
t a major step forward for animals and send a strong message that cruelty
to ducks and geese has no place in our community. \n\nWe need a strong pre
sence at polling locations across the city on Election Day. There are 75 p
olling stations in DC\, and we are aiming to have volunteers at as many lo
cations as possible throughout the busiest times of day. To accomplish thi
s\, we need all hands on deck & everyone who can participate to sign up fo
r a shift to help us reach voters before they cast their ballots. \n\nWe w
ill provide all demonstration materials and guidance. Your support will ma
ke a tremendous difference. The stronger our presence\, the greater our ch
ance of saving more lives by getting Initiative 86 passed. \n\nPlease see
 details below: \n\nWhen: Tuesday\, November 3\, 2026 \n\nAvailable Shifts:
  7:00 a.m. – 9:30 a.m.\, 12:30 p.m. – 3:30 p.m.\, 3:30 p.m. – 6:30 p
 .m. \n\nWhere: Polling places throughout Washington\, DC\n\nContact Shana
Webb at SWebb@peta.org for more information and to sign up for a shift and
polling station. \n\nEach volunteer will need to pick up a sign at 1536 1
6th St NW\, Washington DC 20036. There will be coffee and bagels provided
in the morning and lunch provided in the afternoon. \n\nPLEASE READ: Pleas
e dress sharply. We must ensure that the focus remains on the animals with
