BEACH DAY at MIDDELWAARD near Utrecht vsanetherlands On Monday, August 17th, it is time for this year's edition of VSA Beach Day! We'll gather at Utrecht Centraal at 12:00 (by the Nijntje train in the main hall) and then travel together to Recreatiegebied Middelwaard in Vianen, where there is a swimming lake with a beach, as well as the option to go for a swim in the river Lek. We'll also have a potluck at the beach, so bring a vegan dish, snack, or drink. You're welcome to bring a plus-one, the more, the merrier! DATE: Monday, August 17th 2026, at 12:00 p.m. LOCATION: Recreatiegebied Middelwaard, 4133 LB Vianen, along the Lekbrug (Jan Blankenbrug) TRAVEL: Meet at 12:00 inside the main hall Utrecht Centraal, by the Nijntje train, arrive at the lake in Middelwaard by 13:00. WHAT TO BRING: Remember to take swimming clothes, a towel, some suncream, your vegan dish, a plate and cutlery for the potluck, and feel free to bring some outdoor games!
