Billy & Tina's Zoo Protest

Hardly anyone actually likes the Los Angeles Zoo anymore. According to a recent grand jury report which was widely amplified by virtually all news outlets in LA, attendance has plummeted, infrastructure is falling part, and management needs replacing. One of the most common adjectives used by zoo patrons to describe the zoo is "disappointing." And no one bought zoo director Denise Verret's story to City Council that moving the last still alive elepants Billy and Tina to another zoo, the bleak Tulsa Zoo, was in the elephants' "best interests." We don't like the zoo either and we'd rather not be protestng it. But we will continue until the zoo and the city adopt a now-and -forever policy that Los Angeles will never allow elephants to be held captive in our community again. Join us to make this so! Next protest SUNDAY, Aug 9 from 10 to 12 / LA Zoo / 5333 Zoo Drive / Free parking. Whether you want to hold a sign, chant, do speakouts, take photos and videos, bang a drum, chalk, hand out flyers or talk to zoo goers, we have a place for you with our team!
