Seven of the nine planetary boundaries that sustain life on Earth have already been crossed. Our food system is the largest contributor to 5 of the 7 boundaries breached. This November, the World Agriculture Forum, in collaboration with the PlantBasedTreaty, convenes a high-level Policy Dialogue on: Aligning Food Systems with Long-term Goals. As climate pressures, biodiversity loss, food insecurity, and health challenges intensify, the dialogue will explore a defining question: How can diet change, plant-based policies, alternative proteins, food waste reduction, innovation, and reforestation help align food systems with the long-term goals of the Paris Agreement and net-zero futures?
