We will meet at the Quaker meetinghouse in West Hartford to discuss Rowdy Girl: Confessions of a Vegan Cattle Rancher by Renee King-Sonnen, and a recipe review from our Project Books for the year: Be a Plant-Based Woman Warrior or the PlantYou books. Doors open at 2:45 for refreshments and socializing. You are welcome to bring a vegan snack (optional). Coffee and tea will be provided. Discussion starts at 3 PM. About the reading: With raw honesty and vulnerability, Rowdy Girl illuminates the realities of animal agriculture through tracing the author's journey from a poor upbringing to life as the wife of a Texas cattle rancher.
