The Poplar Spring Annual Open House and Fundraiser is being held on Sunday, September 27, 2026, from 1 to 4 pm Join VSDC and hundreds of people for the Open House, featuring a live band, catered vegan food and drinks, and a chance to stroll around and visit the rescued animals. Again, there is no admission fee, but donations (of any amount) to Poplar Spring are very much appreciated. For further information, see their website. Our group will meet at 2:15 pm to the right of the small gift shop structure to connect and hear from Terry Cummings, the co-founder, who will provide an overview of Poplar Spring and its residents.
