World Vegan Day at KAS KEERVEER

Come join us on World Vegan Day at @kas_keerweer (Kas Keerveer) in Amsterdam Oud-West to support the @sulalaanimalrescue (Sulala Animal Rescue) - the only animal welfare organisation in Gaza that homes strays. Besides celebrating World Vegan Day, we want to raise awareness regarding some of the most neglected animals in the world, who have been suffering immensely from the ongoing military siege and violence during the genocide. Since the Sulala Animal Rescue was founded in 2006, Gaza has become increasingly isolated from the rest of the world, enforced by strict air, land and sea blockades. With over 2 million people being confined to the most densely populated area on earth, many animals have also been injured and starved under these inhumane restrictions. This benefit event will be held indoors with a cosy fireplace. In case of nice weather, tables will be extended outdoors. Artisan entrepreneurs and hobbyists are invited to sell handicrafts and donate their proceeds (or a significant percentage of them) to the Sulala Animal Rescue. Items at the souk will consist of zines, ceramics, drawings/artwork, fabrics, jewelry, small-batch items and cards. We will also sell drinks, soup and hand pies filled with seitan donated by @wheatpraylove.amsterdam (Wheat Pray Love). Other lovelies from the vegan community will provide sweet and savoury snacks. @maria.cooks.vegan is baking amazing cakes! There is still table space for another 10 vendors at the vibrant souk. Nonprofit or human rights organisations are also welcome to contribute, provided they sell vegan items. Please send an email or DM if you would like to participate!
