12,000 Chicks Abandoned in US Postal Truck Spark Outcry Over Animal Shipping

More than 12,000 chicks were found abandoned in a US Postal Service truck at a Delaware distribution center, with around 4,000 chicks found dead. The surviving 8,000 chicks were taken in by a shelter and put up for adoption, but only a few hundred found homes.
