A star-studded animated adaptation of George Orwell's novella "Animal Farm" titled "Animal Farm: A Cautionary Tail" has recently been released in cinemas. The film, directed and produced by Andy Serkis, follows the story of anthropomorphic farm animals who overthrow their human captors and establish a new system of governance that ultimately fails due to corruption and abuses of power, staying true to Orwell's original message about the dangers of communism.

The cast of "Animal Farm: A Cautionary Tail" includes Seth Rogen, Gaten Matarazzo, Steve Buscemi, Glenn Close, Laverne Cox, Kieran Culkin, Kathleen Turner, and Woody Harrelson. The film, which has been in development for over 15 years, premiered at the BFI London Film Festival and the Annecy International Animation Film Festival in 2025.
