Abhi the Pig Escapes Exploitation and Finds Peace at Fundación Santuario Gaia in Catalonia

Abhi, a piglet, was rescued from a village in Catalonia by Ismael López, co-founder of Fundación Santuario Gaia, a vegan sanctuary dedicated to saving animals from exploitation by animal agriculture. Abhi was found wandering alone and had likely escaped from a farm, showing his resilience and will to survive despite hunger, cold, and rain. Now safe at the sanctuary, Abhi joins other animals in a peaceful environment where they are cared for and respected.

Ismael López specializes in raising baby animals, especially piglets, and took in Abhi after he was found in the village. Despite already having 38 pigs at the sanctuary, the team couldn't say no to Abhi, who fought hard for his life and deserved a chance at living free from harm. Abhi's story is a reminder of the importance of providing a dignified life for animals who have been exploited and abused in the farming industry.
