ADM Secures $2.2M in State Tax Credits to Convert Idle Clinton Space Into Precision Fermentation Site

Archer Daniels Midland has been awarded $2.23 million in tax credits from the Iowa Economic Development Authority to expand their precision fermentation capacity at the Clinton corn processing complex. This project, with a total investment of $55.5 million, will convert idle fermentation space into a dedicated facility for producing proteins and enzymes for various applications. The project is expected to create 53 jobs with qualifying wages and represents a significant investment in the region's fermentation industry.

The Clinton site, already positioned as a fermentation hub with collaborations with The EVERY Company and Spiber, will now house a state-of-the-art precision fermentation facility. This move aligns with ADM's strategic focus on precision fermentation, leveraging its dextrose supply and existing fermentation assets. This project, alongside other public commitments to fermentation manufacturing in the Midwest, showcases ADM's dedication to expanding its presence in the industry and driving innovation in the region.
