ADM to Manufacture EVERY’s Fermented Egg Protein at Iowa Corn Complex

Agricultural processor ADM and precision fermentation company The EVERY Company have partnered to produce OvoPro egg white protein at a commercial scale in Clinton, Iowa. OvoPro is a recombinant ovalbumin produced through fermentation, delivering various functionalities and boasting a PDCAAS score of 1.0 with no fat or cholesterol. The partnership aims to meet the growing global demand for protein fortification, especially in the US, by expanding production of OvoPro to service multinational customers.

This agreement addresses a supply constraint that EVERY has been facing as demand for their product has grown. The deal with ADM allows for a second production facility in the US, alongside existing arrangements with other companies for increased capacity. For ADM, this deal allows them to add a fermentation-derived ingredient to their portfolio, positioning OvoPro as an innovative option to meet the rising global demand for protein while complementing traditional protein sources like eggs.
