Agricultural Students Expelled Following ‘Disturbing’ Sheep Attack

Two agricultural students from Plumpton College in East Sussex were arrested for causing unnecessary suffering to a sheep, resulting in permanent expulsion from the college. The incident involved kicking the sheep's head, splitting it open, and blowing it up with a firework in what was described as a horrific act of animal cruelty. Two other students who witnessed the attack have also withdrawn from their course.

This is not the first case of animal cruelty involving agricultural college students, with previous incidents at Hartpury College and the Royal Agricultural University. These incidents highlight a disturbing trend of students engaging in acts of cruelty towards animals, raising concerns about the consequences and ethical standards within the agriculture industry. The colleges involved have taken disciplinary action, but more efforts are needed to prevent such behavior in the future.
