Aleph Farms has signed a Memorandum of Understanding with The Cultured Hub to establish its first European production base in Kemptthal, Switzerland. This move will allow Aleph Farms to bring its cultivated steaks, known as Aleph Cuts, to European markets in a capital-efficient and locally embedded manner. The partnership aims to create resilient and decentralized meat supply chains across Europe, aligning with Switzerland's food innovation ecosystem and supported by the Canton of Zurich.

The agreement comes after Aleph Farms confirmed the scalability and profitability of its cultivated beef through an independent techno-economic analysis. The company had previously raised $29 million to expand its production capacity and develop intermediate-scale production sites in Europe and Asia. With this new partnership, Aleph Farms is preparing for commercial launch through relevant distribution channels, pending regulatory approval in Switzerland, where they submitted the country's first regulatory application for cultivated beef in 2023.
