Allbiotech Introduces Cost-Effective Bioreactor for Precision Fermentation Research

Spanish biotech startup Allbiotech Biotechnologies has introduced the Genesys V1 bioreactor, a cost-effective solution for precision fermentation research. Priced at one-third of traditional pharmaceutical bioreactors, the system features a 1-liter glass vessel, integrated sensors, and five peristaltic pumps, making it ideal for early-stage testing and process optimization in food production. Allbiotech aims to make bioreactor technology more accessible to food tech startups, research institutions, and universities by eliminating the economic barrier to entry.

By offering an affordable, food-focused alternative to repurposed pharmaceutical lab equipment, Allbiotech targets early-stage companies and research labs working with alternative proteins and fermentation-derived ingredients. The company has received investment to support increased production and commercialization, with plans for a second production run in March. Leveraging a direct-to-consumer sales model, Allbiotech aims to scale its operations and promote the research and development of new ingredients through precision fermentation, addressing sustainability concerns in food production.
