Almost 100 Amsterdam Restaurants to Offer Plant-Based Specials for Plant FWD Week

Plant FWD Week in Amsterdam, taking place from April 5-12, will see almost 100 restaurants offering plant-based specials and sustainable menus to celebrate the upcoming Plant FWD conference on April 8-9. From meat-based establishments to those known for plant-based options, a wide range of restaurants including Restaurant De Kas, Madre, and Ron Gastrobar will be participating. Culinary workshops, collaborative dinners, and exclusive events like Berlin restaurant Horváth taking over De Kas' kitchen are also on the program.

The week will kick off with a "coffee rave" at Cafecito and include cooking workshops, special menu versions like "Blaauw sees Green" at Ron Gastrobar, and a variety of events showcasing delicious and tempting plant-based dishes. The Plant FWD conference will feature startup pitches, groundbreaking products, and a look at the Eat Lancet Dietary Guidelines 2.0. With the aim of showing how delicious and accessible plant-based options can be, the organizers have made it free for restaurants to participate, encouraging a lower threshold for all to join in.
