Aloha Unveils Second Plant Protein Bar with Terviva’s Climate-Resilient Ponova Oil

Aloha has unveiled its second plant protein bar, the Pa’akai Bar, in collaboration with Terviva using their climate-resilient Ponova oil. The bar is made with locally sourced, sustainable ingredients and a portion of the proceeds will go towards empowering Hawaiian youth. It is part of Aloha's commitment to sustainability, having been certified as a B Corp and Carbon Neutral Certified business, with a focus on social impact and health benefits, offering 14g of protein and 10g of fiber per serving.

Terviva's Ponova oil, derived from pongamia trees, offers environmental benefits such as soil restoration, carbon sequestration, and water efficiency. The oil can be used in a variety of food products as a healthier alternative to saturated fats, making it a sustainable option for the food industry. Other companies, like Zero Acre Farms and Algae Cooking Club, are also producing sustainable and healthy fats, contributing to a more environmentally friendly food industry.
