Animal Rising Campaigners Found Not Guilty in Worcester Dairy Blockade Case

Animal Rising campaigners were found not guilty of public nuisance at Worcester Crown Court after blockading a dairy facility as part of their "Stop the Supply" Dairy Campaign. The activists aimed to raise awareness of the environmental and ethical impacts of the dairy industry, including its contribution to climate and nature crises. The trial concluded the sixth and final legal case stemming from the 2022 campaign, with three supporters acquitted and one found guilty of conspiracy to commit criminal damage.

Animal Rising continues to advocate for a transition to a plant-based food system, citing studies showing the environmental benefits of plant-based diets. Spokesperson Claudia Penna Rojas emphasized that speaking out against systemic animal abuse and environmental destruction is a moral necessity, highlighting the need for a sustainable food system that reduces harm and protects the planet.
