APAC Regulatory Coordination Forum Releases White Papers to Harmonize Cultivated Meat Standards

The APAC Regulatory Coordination Forum has released two white papers addressing safety and regulatory concerns for cultivated meat in the Asia-Pacific market. The papers focus on cell line development and cell culture media components, highlighting gaps in regulations and providing guidance for regulators. These resources were developed with input from industry experts and aim to facilitate the harmonization of standards and recommendations for cultivated food production across APAC jurisdictions.

The forum, co-led by the Good Food Institute and the APAC Society for Cellular Agriculture, aims to coordinate regulatory approaches for cultivated foods in the region. By fostering dialogue among key stakeholders and cultivating international regulatory coordination, the forum seeks to promote the commercialization of cultivated meat while ensuring food safety and sustainability for consumers in the Asia-Pacific market.
