Argentine Activists Run 20 Km Pulling Cart to Demonstrate the Impact of “Blood Traction”

Argentine activists Facundo Palomino and Ailin Jeanney ran 20 km pulling a cart to showcase the suffering of horses used for "blood traction" in Argentina. This demonstration was also a tribute to the horse Atlas, who died due to his forced labor. Both activists are high-performance athletes and vegans, with Palomino being vegan for over a decade. The event was supported by local authorities and aimed to raise awareness about the exploitation of animals for labor.

Palomino expressed that he wanted to show what horses go through in their work and that he chose to endure the physical discomfort to bring attention to their plight. Despite feeling pain and discomfort during the run, he highlighted the need for better equipment for future demonstrations. The activists turned their challenge into a call for collective conscience, urging people to consider the impact of using animals for labor and advocating for change in their treatment.
