Armenian Woman-Owned Vegan Bakery Opens in Former Space of The Gray Zebra

The Moody Vegan is a new Armenian woman-owned vegan bakery opening in East Hollywood, in the former space of The Gray Zebra. Originally a cottage bakery operated out of owner Melany Nazarian's home, The Moody Vegan expanded to a food truck in September 2022 before unfortunately getting into an accident. Now, with a brick-and-mortar location, the bakery will offer a variety of vegan desserts and new menu items such as fruit smoothies, protein smoothies, milkshakes, Armenian espresso, and savory dishes like breakfast burritos and avocado toast.

Located on the corner of Sunset and Normandie, The Moody Vegan aims to soft open next month and hopes to be a one-stop shop for vegan desserts in East Hollywood.
