Atlantic Natural Foods Moves Toward Asset Sale with Century Pacific as Potential Buyer

Atlantic Natural Foods (ANF) is in the process of selling its assets to Century Pacific North America Enterprise, Inc. after the United States Bankruptcy Court approved the bid process. ANF had previously terminated an acquisition agreement with Above Food, leading to the decision to file for Chapter 11 bankruptcy. The company's production operations have shifted to the Philippines due to challenges in supply chain management and rising costs, with the closure of their North Carolina facility.

During the restructuring process, ANF faced difficulties such as cost escalations related to tariffs, labor issues, insurance hikes, and cybersecurity challenges. Despite these challenges, the company remains committed to providing plant-based products for its core customer base, specifically the Adventist consumer. Century Pacific has been designated as the stalking horse bidder, with an auction scheduled in July to potentially finalize the sale and secure a stable future for the company under new management.
