After facing financial difficulties and entering liquidation in October 2024, Aussie Plant Based Co. has rebounded, securing new national listings for its Love Buds brand in Coles supermarkets and Betty’s Burgers across Australia. The recovery has been led by Raghu Reddy, who took over the company and focused on regaining key partnerships and rebuilding the product offering without external funding. The company’s product range now includes two burger varieties under the Love Buds brand, a chilled sausage under the vEEF label, and a new plant-based cheese line in foodservice.

Formed through a merger in 2023, Aussie Plant Based Co. faced liquidity challenges that led to its liquidation. Since being acquired by Smart Foods, the company has been revitalized under Reddy’s leadership, supplying a growing range of plant-based products to supermarkets and foodservice chains. Reddy emphasized the importance of operational efficiency and focusing on proven channels for success in the plant-based market, highlighting the company's clear path to profitability and strong execution in the industry.
