Award-Winning Roman Vegan Restaurant Sora Lella Announces Expansion

Award-winning Roman vegan restaurant Sora Lella is expanding with a second location in Edinburgh, Scotland. Known as the city’s first-ever vegan Roman restaurant, Sora Lella is owned and operated by an Italian family, offering authentic Italian dishes made with plant-based ingredients. The new location, like the original, will be situated in the southern Edinburgh neighborhood of Newington.

Sora Lella announced the upcoming opening of its sister restaurant through social media posts, hinting at a fresh twist on beloved flavors and a new dining experience. The restaurant has received numerous accolades, including nominations for best barista, best pasta chef, and best chef in the Scottish Italian Awards in 2024 and winning the award for Best Vegan Restaurant in Scotland. Edinburgh is recognized as a hub for vegan food, ranking highly in various lists of affordable vegan cities in the UK and endorsing the Plant Based Treaty, the first Scottish city and European capital to do so.
