Beloved Farm Animal Ambassador Esther the Wonder Pig Dies

Esther the Wonder Pig, a beloved farm animal ambassador who inspired many to see farm animals in a new light, has passed away at the age of 11. Adopted by her dads as a piglet, Esther grew to be around 600 pounds, changing the way her dads felt about farm animals forever. Her death was announced on Instagram, where she had nearly 580,000 followers, with her memory and legacy being immortalized.

Inspired by Esther's close bond with them, her dads launched the Happily Ever Esther Farm Sanctuary in Ontario, Canada, in 2014 to provide a refuge for abused, neglected, and abandoned farm animals. Esther's influence, known as the "Esther Effect," led Jenkins and Walters to advocate for veganism and live cruelty-free. Fans all over the world expressed their grief over Esther's passing, acknowledging her incredible impact in changing perceptions about pigs and other animals.
