Better Chew Kitchen in Vallejo, California Acquired by Vegan Mob

Better Chew Kitchen in Vallejo, California was recently acquired by Vegan Mob, marking its third franchise restaurant. Founded by GW Chew, also known as Chef Chew, Better Chew Kitchen aimed to provide access to healthy vegan foods to the community. The restaurant temporarily closed and reopened in January, leading to the partnership with Vegan Mob.

Vegan Mob, a vegan BBQ and Soul food company founded by Toriano Gordon, teamed up with Better Chew Kitchen to create Chef Chew’s Kitchen in Vallejo. The menu will feature Vegan Mob classics, as well as fan-favorite dishes from Better Chew Kitchen. Additionally, the restaurant will sell affordable frozen vegan products to ensure the community has access to meat alternatives. This partnership aims to show how two Black vegan entrepreneurs can come together to make a positive impact in the industry.
