Better Chew Kitchen in Vallejo, California, was recently acquired by Vegan Mob, making it the Bay Area powerhouse's third franchise restaurant. The revamped eatery, now known as Chef Chew’s Kitchen, will continue to prioritize democratizing access to plant-based foods, staying true to Chef Chew's original mission. Despite the change in ownership, the restaurant will remain a Black-owned business, keeping the focus on providing healthy, vegan options to the community.

Vegan Mob's partnership with Better Chew Kitchen brings together two leaders in the vegan food industry, with a shared goal of making plant-based food more accessible, especially in BIPOC communities. Chef Chew’s Kitchen, opening on August 11, will feature a mix of Vegan Mob classics and original Better Chew dishes, ensuring a diverse menu that caters to a wide range of tastes. Additionally, the restaurant will offer Better Chew's frozen vegan products at an affordable price, continuing to provide the community with access to meat alternatives.
