Beyond Investing Lists VEGX, Extending Its Vegan Screening Outside the US

The International Vegan Climate ETF (VEGX) is now trading on the Cboe BZX Exchange, marking Beyond Investing's second listed fund outside of the US market. The fund tracks the Beyond Investing International Vegan Climate Index, which excludes companies from developed markets such as the United States and Australia based on specific criteria related to animal testing, animal-derived products, fossil fuels, tobacco, and other factors. The index consists of 309 companies primarily in the industrials, communications services, financials, and information technology sectors.

With total annual operating expenses of 0.75%, VEGX launches with 130 holdings and focuses on representative sampling rather than full replication. Beyond Investing's first ETF, VEGN, launched in 2019 and has shown strong performance, outperforming the S&P 500 with assets reaching $180M. The firm is now considering a European product and emphasizes that the two funds are complementary, with no risk of portfolio replication due to the exclusion of US stocks in the international index.
