Beyond Leather Launches a More Flexible & Durable Version of Its Alt Leather Made From Apple Waste

Danish company Beyond Leather Materials has launched Leap Flex, a new sustainable leather alternative made from upcycled apple waste. This material is designed for applications that require extra stretch, flexibility, and durability, with an elongation rate of 130% and proven flex resistance up to 50,000 times. Leap Flex is suitable for upholstered furniture and curved, complex forms, and comes in two new colors, Burgundy and Macchiato Beige.

Beyond Leather Materials aims to offer environmentally friendly options without compromising on creativity. In 2024, the company transitioned to full-scale production in Germany, earning the USDA Certified Biobased Product Label for its 91% biobased content. Partnering with Veshin and TAKT, Beyond Leather is expanding its reach into various markets, providing sustainable solutions for fashion, home, and furniture sectors.
