The drinks, which contain 20g of pea protein and other nutritional benefits, have been available nationwide through direct-to-consumer channels since January. The launch at Erewhon marks the first retail expansion beyond the New York metropolitan area for the product, which has undergone several iterations to finalize its formulation and packaging.

The move into protein drinks comes as Beyond Meat faces financial challenges, with six consecutive quarters of revenue declines.
