Beyond Meat Is Testing Plant-Based Pepperoni at 70 Pizza Hut Locations

Beyond Meat is teaming up with Pizza Hut to offer plant-based pepperoni at 70 locations. The Beyond Pepperoni Pizza can be ordered vegan by excluding cheese. Made from simple vegan ingredients like peas and rice, the meatless pepperoni offers the same flavors as Pizza Hut's classic pepperoni without soy, gluten, hormones, antibiotics, GMOs, or cholesterol.

The plant-based pepperoni is part of Beyond Meat's expanding range of meat alternatives and is available for a limited time in five cities: Albany, NY; Columbus and Macon, GA; Houston, TX; and Jacksonville, FL. For those not near a test location, there are other vegan options at Pizza Hut such as the Veggie Lover's or Create Your Own Pizza with vegetable toppings on specified crusts. Other plant-based items on the menu include fries and cinnamon sticks without icing.
