Beyond Meat Vegan Chicken Tenders Are Coming to Retailers

Beyond Meat is set to launch vegan chicken tenders in retailers this October. Made from faba bean protein, the plant-based chicken offers the same taste and texture as traditional meat-based versions, but with 50% less saturated fat and without GMOs, hormones, or cholesterol. The tenders will come pre-cooked and frozen, making it easy for consumers to heat them up at home in the oven, microwave, or air fryer in less than 10 minutes.

The product was previously tested at select restaurants, such as Kentucky Fried Chicken and other locations in California and New York, with successful results. Beyond Meat's Chief Growth Officer, Deanna Jurgens, expressed excitement for the launch, as consumers have been eager for a plant-based chicken product that is readily accessible and can be cooked at home. Beyond Chicken Tenders will be available at select retailers like Walmart, Jewel-Osco, and Safeway Northern California, with plans to expand to more locations in the future.
