Big Idea Ventures and Mars Petcare Launch Global Next Generation Pet Food Program

Big Idea Ventures and Mars Petcare have teamed up for the second year in a row to launch the global Next Generation Pet Food Program. This initiative, in collaboration with AAK, Bühler, and Givaudan, aims to support sustainable innovation in the pet food sector by developing novel ingredients, sustainable fats and proteins, and advanced processing technologies. Startups from around the world, with a preference for APAC-based companies, are invited to apply with scalable and sustainable solutions that have a real-world impact.

Selected companies will receive expert guidance, potential commercial partnerships, and the opportunity to showcase their solutions at the Asia-Pacific Agri-Food Innovation Summit in Singapore. The program, which saw success in 2024, has already garnered interest from startups looking to contribute to the sustainable pet food ecosystem. With the addition of Givaudan, the resources available to chosen startups are expected to be further enhanced, building on the success and learnings from the previous year. Startups interested in participating in this year's program are encouraged to apply before the deadline on July 16.
