BioCheese Adds Pea Protein to Dairy-Free Cheddar Shred in Australian Retail First

Australian brand BioCheese has introduced a protein-fortified shredded cheddar to its dairy-free range, a first for the country's plant-based cheese category. The Cheddar Shred with Protein contains 10% pea protein, providing 10g of total protein per 100g. It is designed to melt for use in dishes such as toasties, tacos, and salads, and is now available in Coles supermarkets and independent grocers across Australia.

BioCheese, owned by My Co, was the first plant-based cheese brand to launch in Australia in 2014 and has since expanded its range to over 15 products. The brand is focused on providing high-quality, nutritious dairy-free options that do not compromise on taste. CEO Vicky Pappas believes that plant-based and dairy-free products should not mean settling for less, and the Cheddar Shred with Protein is a testament to this mission, offering both nutrition and flavor in one convenient package.
