Biokraft Foods to Host “India’s First” Cultivated Chicken Cook-Off

Biokraft Foods, an Indian biotech startup, is organizing what is said to be India’s first cultivated chicken cook-off. Set to take place on August 22 at DY Patil University in Navi Mumbai, the event will feature ten student chefs creating dishes using Biokraft’s cultivated chicken products. Winners will receive cash prizes and a chance to visit the Merck Life Science facility in Bangalore.

In addition to the cook-off, Biokraft will host panel discussions at Forkward on topics such as the future of food and the culinary world. The goal of the event is to prepare young chefs to work with next-gen ingredients, understand the science behind cultivated meat, and meet the evolving expectations of consumers for innovation and sustainability in the food industry.
