Biotech Companies MilaK and iLoF Move Into Discovery Park’s CoLab in UK

Discovery Park in Kent has welcomed two new biotechnology companies, MilaK and iLoF, to its CoLab facility. MilaK is focused on precision fermentation protein production, particularly animal-free whey protein, while iLoF is working on AI-driven personalized drug development using optical technology. Both companies have chosen Discovery Park for its state-of-the-art facilities and collaborative environment, with MilaK already expanding its team and iLoF establishing partnerships with other life science companies.

MilaK, supported by Innovate UK, aims to enter the sports nutrition market and expand into infant and clinical nutrition. iLoF, having raised $10 million in funding, combines AI and optical technology for clinical trial efficiency. Discovery Park's CoLab provides these early-stage companies with access to equipment, flexible leases, and connections within the UK's life sciences cluster, further enhancing the park's ecosystem for innovative and science-led businesses.
