Black-Owned Baba’s Vegan Cafe Opens Brick-and-Mortar in South Los Angeles

Baba’s Vegan Cafe, a popular LA-based pop-up known for its authentic soul food and Jamaican-style veggie patties, has opened its first brick-and-mortar location at 67th and Western in South Los Angeles. Owner Wo’se Kofi has been serving the community for almost a decade, focusing on providing healthy food to the neighborhood, particularly in the African Diasporic culture hub of Leimert Park.

With a menu that includes stuffed veggie patties, vegan mac ‘n’ cheese, and raw vegan dishes like carrot tuna and sunflower seed pate, Baba’s Vegan Cafe offers a variety of options for customers. The cafe is open Tuesday through Friday from 2-7pm and can be found as a vendor at Leimert Park Village every Sunday from 2-6pm.
