Mo’ Better Brews, a new music-themed vegan coffee shop, is set to open in Houston, Texas on Juneteenth. Owned by Chasitie and Courtney Lindsay, the shop will feature a breakfast menu with items like hot honey shrooms & grits, Cajun croissants, and Johnny Nash Sweet Potato Hash. The coffee at the shop will be a blend called Bleek & Indigo, created by local Black-owned roasters, Three Keys Coffee.

In addition to vegan food and coffee, Mo’ Better Brews will also offer a collection of vinyl records for guests to browse through and purchase. The shop’s walls are decorated with vinyl records and show flyers from the 1940s and 1950s. The owners plan to host live music shows, open mic nights, poetry events, and other activities on the outdoor patio. The grand opening will take place on Saturday, June 19, from 7:30am to 6pm at 1201 Southmore Blvd in Houston’s Museum District.
