Black Sabbath’s Geezer Butler Honored With ‘Rock Star for Animals’ Award

Geezer Butler, founding member and bassist of Black Sabbath, was honored with a "Rock Star for Animals" award for his long-standing advocacy for animal rights. The award was presented by the Center For A Humane Economy and the Global Council For Animals at a special event in California. Butler's wife, Gloria, is also involved in animal welfare efforts as a member of the Global Council For Animals.

Butler has been a vegan since he was eight years old, after realizing the impact of eating meat on animals. He has actively promoted veganism through campaigns, advertisements, and social media. Alongside his wife, he has also fought against puppy mills and spoken out about issues such as deaths at horse races and the impact of fireworks on animals. Butler's dedication to animal advocacy has been recognized and celebrated by the Center For A Humane Economy and the Global Council For Animals.
