Swiss technology group Bühler has acquired endeco GmbH and its subsidiary endeco Protein and Food, formalizing a partnership that has been ongoing since 2022. The acquisition, effective as of January 1, 2026, aims to extend Bühler's capacity in plant-based protein processing, taking it from pilot scale to industrial volume. Together, Bühler and endeco offer a more complete processing value chain for plant protein customers, with endeco bringing process expertise and Bühler providing global market access and technology portfolio.

Endeco will continue to operate under its own name as a Bühler company, maintaining existing customer relationships and focusing on joint project developments to offer additional value to customers. The integration of the Protein Application Center at Bühler's Uzwil site into Bühler's Special Grains and Pulses business unit will further enhance collaboration between the two companies. The goal remains to accelerate the production of plant-based protein on an industrial scale, leveraging the combined expertise and capabilities of Bühler and endeco.
