Plant-Based Foods of Canada (PBFC) will be hosting its third annual conference on May 5, 2026, at Copper Creek Golf Club in Ontario, bringing together stakeholders from the plant-based food industry in Canada. The event will include manufacturers, ingredient suppliers, retailers, researchers, and investors from across the country's plant-based food value chain. This year, the conference is open to anyone working in or supporting the sector, expanding beyond the PBFC membership base for the first time.

The conference will feature a keynote address from Peter McGuinness, former CEO of Impossible Foods and now CEO of Bel Group's North American operations. Other sessions will include a Canadian market data presentation from NielsenIQ, a global trends outlook from Innova Market Insights, as well as panels on retail strategy, supply chain resilience, and investment. The event will also highlight Canada's position in the global plant-based market, addressing challenges such as volume softness in certain subcategories and price positioning issues.
