Cathedral City is set to launch a new vegan cheese flavor, Plant-Based Smokey, in UK supermarkets. Made from a blend of coconut oil and starch with smoked water and added calcium, the new dairy-free cheese is described as creamy, rich, and intensely smokey. This release follows the success of Cathedral City's previous plant-based cheese options, including Original, Mature, and Extra Mature varieties, as well as a soft cheese.

Owned by Saputo Dairy UK, Cathedral City is known as the UK's biggest cheese brand, with 42 percent of households purchasing its cheeses. The company has been expanding its dairy-free line to meet the growing demand for plant-based options, with shoppers consistently praising the taste, texture, and melting ability of its vegan cheeses. The new Plant-Based Smokey flavor is expected to be available on Tesco shelves soon, offering consumers more variety in dairy-free cheese options.
