Cauldron Foods Introduces 5-Minute Express Range in UK Retail

Cauldron Foods has launched a new ready-to-cook tofu range called Cauldron Express in Tesco stores in the UK. The range includes four pre-seasoned and pre-prepared tofu products aimed at reducing preparation time and simplifying cooking, all designed to cook in approximately five minutes. This range targets consumers who may find tofu intimidating to cook, offering pre-pressed, pre-flavoured options for convenience and ease of use.

The Express range includes marinated tofu pieces and grillable tofu blocks in various flavors such as ginger & garlic, teriyaki, smoky BBQ, and oregano & thyme. Cauldron Foods' Marketing Director, Lucy Grogut, mentioned that the range was developed to address barriers such as perceived complexity and lack of flavor in tofu cooking. The company aims to expand tofu usage across more meal occasions by offering quicker preparation and pre-seasoned options, targeting the £57.5 million UK tofu category and hoping to encourage broader consumer adoption of tofu through this range.
