‘Celebrity Bake Off’ Line-Up Features Two Plant-Based Contestants

The line-up for this year's Great Celebrity Bake Off has been revealed, with two plant-based celebrities, Coleen Nolan and Deborah Meaden, joining the competition. The show, in aid of UK charity Stand Up To Cancer, will feature a total of 20 celebrities, including David Schwimmer and Tom Daley. Hosted by Noel Fielding and Matt Lucas, this will be Lucas' last appearance on the show as he announced his departure last year.

In recent years, the Great British Bake Off has been gradually embracing plant-based eating, with judges and contestants incorporating vegan elements into their bakes. The show featured its first vegan contestant in 2021, sparking controversy when she was made to use dairy buttercream in a challenge. The Great Celebrity Bake Off is set to air on Channel 4 later this year, with a growing recognition of the popularity and importance of plant-based diets in the culinary world.
