Cell Manufacturing Innovator CellRev Enters Administration

UK company CellRev, known for its cell manufacturing media additives, has entered administration after failing to secure Series A funding. Despite achieving several milestones since its founding in 2018, including developing a continuous cell manufacturing platform and raising significant funding, CellRev struggled with industry shifts and failed partnerships. In an attempt to pivot in 2024, the company focused on life science opportunities but ultimately ceased trading due to financial constraints.

Administrators have been appointed to handle the company's assets, with all nine employees being made redundant. CEO Chris Green expressed gratitude to supporters and acknowledged the transformative goals of CellRev, noting that although the company ran out of time, valuable lessons were learned along the way. Despite the setback, Green remains optimistic about the impact CellRev sought to make in the field of cell manufacturing.
