‘Christspiracy’: The New Documentary From The Co-Creator Of ‘Cowspiracy’

The co-creator of popular vegan documentaries such as Cowspiracy and Seaspiracy has announced a new film in the works titled ‘Christspiracy: The Spirituality Secret’. This documentary explores the connection between animal ethics and all religions, aiming to shed light on the question of whether there is a spiritual way to kill an animal. Through interviews with experts from various religions and discussions on religion, spirituality, philosophy, sociology, and psychology, the filmmakers seek to answer key questions about the historical and cultural context of Jesus’ time and his views on veganism.

During a six-year investigation that took them to four continents, filmmakers Kip Andersen and Kameron Waters delve into the teachings of major religions to uncover new insights into Jesus' life and potential compassion towards animals. Due to differing visions of the film's direction, the filmmakers decided to buy back the rights from Netflix to ensure the unedited version of the film reaches a wider audience. Operating on a fundraising model, the creators aim to raise over $300,000 through a Kickstarter campaign to maximize the documentary's impact and provide backers with exclusive updates and perks in support of the project.
